Paper packaging has the advantages of easy processing, low cost, suitable for printing, light weight, foldable, non-toxic, odorless, and pollution-free, but it has poor water resistance and poor strength when wet. Paper packaging materials can be divided into two categories: packaging paper and cardboard.
The general packaging paper is collectively referred to as paper packaging, and the performance requirements of paper packaging mainly include the following aspects: high strength, low cost, good breathability, and wear-resistant packaging, which is often used for shopping bags, document bags, such as kraft paper. Packaging paper with a smooth surface and high strength is often used for labels, clothing tags, bottle stickers, such as bleached paper. Supported by natural raw materials, non-toxic, transparent, smooth surface, tensile, moisture resistant, and oil resistant packaging paper is mostly used for food packaging, such as cellophane. The raw materials for manufacturing cardboard are basically the same as paper, with the main difference being hardness, thickness, strong rigidity, and easy processing. It is the main paper used for sales packaging.

They have various forms of appearance and can also add other special structures and accessories, such as window holes, opening holes, dumping ports, etc., to meet the needs of different products. They are commonly used for packaging food, cosmetics, and drugs. Folding paper boxes have unique advantages. In addition to good protective functions, they are also suitable for various printing methods, making them easy to process and produce, storage and transportation, greatly reducing the space occupied during storage and transportation, and reducing circulation costs. It has a variety of structural changes, with various box types, which can be roughly divided into the following types of structures:
(2) Paste paper box (fixed paper box)
Also known as a cardboard box, or a laminated box, it has a fixed shape that cannot be folded and consists of a box cover and the western part of the box body. It has higher strength than folding paper boxes, and other materials are usually used for surface decoration on the outside. The cost is high, and the transportation and storage costs are also high. Due to its handmade nature and low production, it is often used for packaging high-end goods, glass products, handicrafts, fragile items, and gift boxes. Due to its excellent display effect, most food and gift packaging uses this form of fixed cardboard boxes.
